Republic is looking for a Senior Product Manager to oversee our banking-grade infrastructure, including our APIs and integrations with partners in payment, KYC, currency conversion, anti money laundering, fraud and others critical for managing cash flows and fraud.The Senior Product Manager should thrive in an innovative and fast paced environment, as they will carefully lead the business through complex global expansion initiatives and platform consolidations.

 

This role is based in our NYC office.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the ideation, development and launch of products on our marketplace platform
  • Be an evangelist / expert of agile methodology having implemented and/or worked in its various forms 
  • Inspire a first class team of engineers and designers to execute
  • Partner with the wider business team to understand the key questions we need to answer and the problems to solve, then solve them
  • Revel in the process of rapid prototyping and design
  • Integrate qualitative and quantitative analyses as part of the development process
  • Be an agent of change, always looking to get a simple version out first
  • Define and analyze metrics that define the success of your products

Our ideal candidate

  • Background in Computer Science, Engineering OR relevant experience working directly with Engineering teams
  • Practical experience of working with Agile frameworks in a Product Engineering culture (i.e. integrated PODs) - master level, able to suggest different approaches dependent on the situation
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager managing a technical type product
  • Experience in Fintech and building banking systems is not mandatory, but is highly valued
  • Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through
  • Highly professional interpersonal, oral and written / visual communication skills, including the ability to communicate with key business stakeholders at a high functional level
  • Ability to run meetings efficiently and effectively 
  • Understand cross-functional dependencies and work with teams to meet product goals
  • Project management / process mapping / software & infrastructure architecture, discovery, roadmapping, data driven feedback loops, comfortable converting tech benefits into measurable KPIs and targets.

A qualified candidate, based in NYC, can expect a base salary of $160,000-$170,000. A standard offer from Republic includes base compensation, equity options, and a highly competitive benefits and perks package. Offers are determined by a number of factors including (but not limited to) the applicant's experience, skills, certifications, as well as internal equity among our team.
