About Republic

Republic is looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our Tokenization team in reimagining the future of digital asset innovation. The Technical Program Manager will work on a small, elite team to design new digital assets (tokens) and build program management solutions for both internal teams and customer-facing products/services. The Technical Program Manager is an extremely detail-oriented individual who can design end-to-end processes for delivery these technical services.

 

The Technical Program Manager will work cross-functionally within the Republic organization across teams and timezones. The Technical Program Manager is capable of learning and understanding the requirements for delivering a secure and successful token deployment. 

 

Importantly, the Technical Program Manager will operate, in a hands-on way, the programs that they design and implement.

 

Republic’s Tokenization capabilities and offering is broken down into 3 main business functions;

  1. Advisory & Facilitation - which focuses on working closely with our clients and issuers to advise them in a structured way to gather requirements for properly designing and deploying their token (digital asset). This advisory is mindful of the complete business, legal, and technical requirements that must be completed before 
  2. Program & Project Management - developing comprehensive programs and assisting in the managing of projects along those programs, making unique adjustments to programs to fit the needs of (1) our client and (2) the solution
  3. Tokenization & Blockchain Deployments - which focuses on the engineering (token generation events or TGEs) and the distribution of digital assets. In addition, the Tokenization team works to deliver ancillary smart contract technologies that are imperative for the success of our client’s and partner’s digital asset, e.g. on-chain vesting, dividend distributions or claimable airdrops.

The role of the Technical Program Manager on the Tokenization team will be to manage the detailed and critical execution;

  1. Development of tokenization programs, both for utility and security tokens
  2. Gathering business and technical requirements from our clients/partners necessary to deliver on their token’s development and distribution
  3. Managing/Co-Managing with PMs and Solutions Architects the communication between client/partner and engineering teams during the smart contract development and deployment efforts

What you’ll do

  • Partner effectively across Republic departments and with clients/partners to manage the delivery of new digital assets (tokens or token smart contracts) 
  • Develop -AND- improve upon processes for management and future automation 
  • Work with the Republic teams to translate business and legal requirements from the client/partner into technical tokenization requirements 
  • Clearly manage the client/partner’s expectations and goals against our service offering, contractual obligations and existing capabilities
  • Attend client/partner workshops to ensure that the digital asset (token) design and requirements are being documented in a complete and accurate manner and according to the dynamic program(s)
  • Engaging clients/partners directly during the token design phase of their project to assist in facilitation to gather the details for their token’s development and distribution 
  • Manage and document precise and critical details about client/partner’s chosen deployment blockchain, token standards and characteristics (e.g. decimal, supplies, transfer restrictions etc.) secure wallet addresses, smart contract requirements (data inputs, outputs)
  • Work closely with the client/partner to capture the imperative details and requirements for their token genesis event (TGE), including but not limited to; minting allocations and destination wallet addresses, token lockup and vesting schedules
  • Coordinate between teams; internal, client, 3rd party (e.g. qualified custodians, exchanges, auditors, etc.) to determine and document roles and responsibilities
  • Coordinate between internal and external teams to reach technical solutions, managing the business requirements of the client
  • For example: Engage solutions architect team members to develop code-level specifications for completion of a specific project or program 
  • Managing communications and version controls between 3rd party auditing firms 
  • Track and communicate important contract milestones for the purposes of billing 
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership regarding launch status, risks, and resolution paths for the department’s highest-priority projects 

Our ideal candidate

 Experience: 

  • 5+ years experience in a Project Management role, Technical Project Management role
  • 5+ years experience with PM software and management tools/methodologies (Kanban, waterfall, scrum, sprint management, etc.)
  • Demonstrative experience interacting with blockchains (wallet, private key management, authentication technologies, blockchain transactions generally)
  • Demonstrative experience using decentralized finance applications and other crypto-native web3 protocols
  • Demonstrative experience working as or alongside engineers, engineering processes and code environments

 Characteristics:

  • An individual who is capable of engaging directly with clients/partners in a positive and goal-oriented manner (facilitation)

Bonus Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations or engineering field (e.g. Project Management, Business Management (MBA) Computer Science, Mathematics), or equivalent work experience
  • Engineering experience and familiarity, code repository management and best practices 
  • A zealot for crypto and the future tokenization of all assets

A qualified candidate, based in NYC, can expect a base salary of $150,000.00-$180,000.00. A standard offer from Republic includes base compensation, equity options, and a highly competitive benefits and perks package. Offers are determined by a number of factors including (but not limited to) the applicant's experience, skills, certifications, work location, as well as internal equity among our team.
